Stories about belonging, love, and finding your way home
Writing warm, slow-burn romances rooted in the heart of Kentucky for everyone who has ever felt like a stepping stone on their way to somewhere worth staying.
A slow-burn college romance
Josie has always been temporary, the friend people outgrow, the girlfriend they leave behind when someone better comes along. Then she meets Parker. What starts as an unlikely friendship slowly pulls her toward a version of college and a version of herself she never knew existed.
A dual timeline second-chance romance
Quinn has spent six years building a life without Griffin in it. Moving back to Bardstown was supposed to be a fresh start, not a collision with everything she left behind. But some strings were never meant to be cut.
Kaitlyn Henson was born and raised in Bardstown, Kentucky, the small town that shaped her heart and found its way into every story she tells. She went on to study at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green before following her husband, an Army soldier, to wherever the Army sends them. They are currently stationed in Colorado Springs.
A former elementary school teacher, Kaitlyn spends her days homeschooling her three boys and trying to wring every good thing she can out of the ordinary days. She has been a reader her whole life, fantasy and romance, always, and when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, she finally understood why stories had always mattered so much to her. They are how we live beyond our own lives. So she sat down and wrote one.
Stepping Stones is her debut novel, available June 30th, 2026 through Wildflower Press.
